Traveling to NW Arkansas

I spent the past weekend taking my first trip to Northwest Arkansas. Some of my highlights included Crystal Bridges, Art from 21C, my first Razorback experience, and very kind people.

My Grandma lives in a beautiful small town an hour west of Austin in the Texas Hill Country called Kerrville. I've been to Kerrville dozens of times, and if there's one thing I've learned: Go to Mamacitas.

This time was also spent visiting Stonehedge II, a replica of the original Stonehedge. This version is in a small town next to Kerville called Ingram.

We also got plenty of family time in during the holidays in Kerrville.

Boston, Sept 2016

I took my first trip to Boston Massachusetts for the annual Evergage Summit and to visit my friend Reed.

Evergage is a vendor we were using at Academy Sports + Outdoors for personalization on the website. The software uses machine learning to learn customer’s affinities towards brands, colors, price, and style. The tool helps deliver relevant results that are truly personalized.

While in Boston for the conference, I met up with one of my best friends from college in Santa Barbara, Reed. Reed is currently getting his masters in UX, so we had plenty to nerd out about. He also had an extra bike and was a great host of the city.

Some of my highlights included seeing Harvard and MIT, visiting George Washington’s house, watching a game and seeing the Big Monster at Fenway Park, and being a tourist.

I look forward to going back to Boston soon!
